Prominent corporate lawyer has vast experience in regulatory matters and public policy development
(March 13, 2007 - Newark, N.J.) - Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) today announced the election of Anne E. Hoskins as vice president – federal affairs and policy, effective April 5, 2007, within one of its subsidiaries, PSEG Services Corporation.
Hoskins will be responsible for PSEG’s federal governmental affairs and will have a leadership role in the development of public policy positions on issues affecting the company and its operations in the United States and various foreign countries.
The new officer will report to R. Edwin Selover, PSEG’s executive vice president and general counsel who oversees the company’s legal, governance and public affairs group.
In her role, Hoskins will be supported by Kristen M. Ludecke, who was named last week as director federal affairs with responsibility for PSEG’s office in Washington, DC. Ludecke has been with company for seven years and previously worked with the U.S. Senate’s Energy Committee.
“Anne Hoskins’ exceptional background made her an excellent choice to be an advocate on the national stage for PSEG and its shareholders, customers, employees and communities it serves,” Selover said. “She will certainly strengthen the company’s position as a leader in the energy utility industry.”
Hoskins has served as senior and regulatory counsel for Verizon Wireless since 2000, working from offices in Washington and Bedminster, NJ. She advised on federal and state regulatory issues and was responsible for regulatory matters in 14 states. She also developed and advocated policy and legal positions before the Federal Communications Commission.
Her prior experience includes the following: regulatory counsel at Bell Atlantic in New York, associate in the Newark law firm of McCarter and English, attorney in the United States Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, program coordinator for the Center for Policy Alternatives in Washington, and policy adviser in the Governor’s Office of Policy and Planning in New Jersey.
Hoskins holds a Doctor of Law degree from Harvard Law School, a Master of Public Affairs degree from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
