You Can Depend On PSE&G Meter Readers
You are assured of accurate meter readings if our meter readers have access to your electric and gas meters each month. You will receive your bill within a few days of each monthly meter reading. The word "actual" will be printed next to the meter reading on your bill.
PSE&G has hundreds of men and women who read the meters in our customer's homes. Meter readers receive extensive training at PSE&G's training center in Edison, New Jersey. They are instructed to be courteous and professional and to wear their PSE&G identification badge on their uniform. Also, they are trained to record your meter readings using a hand-held computer that records your service usage.
You will avoid estimated bills if our meter reader has easy and clear access to your meters each month. Your next meter reading date is always printed on the left hand side of the first page of your bill. The meter reader usually arrives between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on that date.
