File a Claim

You may file a claim for losses by calling 1-800-CLAIM-88, email or use our online form. You may also download a claim form below to submit your claim and proofs:

Please note that our company, like all other utilities, cannot guarantee continuity of service. This is outlined in our Tariff Section 13.1, which is filed with and approved by the State of New Jersey. Therefore, PSE&G will not be liable for damages caused by certain occurrences that are beyond our control.

Some common causes of claims for which PSE&G does not pay are:

  • Acts of God like weather-related conditions (ice, wind, lightning) and animal contacts (squirrels)
  • Equipment failure
  • Damage to PSE&G equipment by others
  • Accidents

If your damages or losses have occurred as a result of other reasons, please complete the claim form and return it along with your proofs of loss (i.e. photos, invoices, repair bills, estimates) to:

Completing the claim form is not a guarantee of payment. Upon our receipt of the completed claim form and proofs of loss, your claim will be assigned to a Claims Professional, who will investigate your claim and determine if there is any liability on the part of PSE&G. When the investigation is completed, you will be contacted and advised as to our position on your claim.
