Most high volume materials are purchased by length, reel, pole, transformer, case, truckload or other measure with no consistent relationship to weight or volume.

We do not track the proportion of recycled material we use to provide electric and natural gas service. Our stationery supplies vendors provide annual reports showing the percentage of recycled materials in products sold to PSEG.

Water is withdrawn primarily for cooling water purposes and is returned to its source. Detailed source by source data is not currently tracked for reporting purposes.

Water for various aspects of electric generation is drawn from several sources groundwater, rivers and estuaries. Large volume withdrawals are regulated by state and federal permits, which are designed to prevent adverse impacts on aquatic species and communities.

PSEG utilizes treated effluent from local treatment facilities for cooling water make-up.
