PSE&G utilizes accepted professional standards for the maintenance of vegetation near power lines. We must keep trees that are located near power lines properly maintained in order to allow for safe and reliable transmission of electrical energy.

It is important to note that Vegetation Management work practices differ based on whether a utility line is part of the distribution or transmission system. Both of these systems warrant different actions which are undertaken by PSE&G personnel and contractors.
