  • PSE&G's Equal Payment Plan (EPP) allows you to pay the same amount each month for your energy bill.  You pay for the exact amount of energy you use, but the total cost is spread equally throughout the year.  (Every year, your account is reviewed and you are billed your regular EPP amount minus any credit owed to you, or plus any balance that is due.)  To enroll, go to pseg.com/epp, or call 1-888-275-7734 (PSEG).

  • The application deadline for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) has been extended through April 15, 2008. To learn more, call 1-800-510-3102 or visit www.pseg.com/liheap.  You can also pick up an application at your local PSE&G Customer Service Center.  Don't delay!

  • If you have coverage under the WorryFree Residential Contracts Program, you will see an additional charge of 90 cents per month for furnace/boiler contracts and 27 cents per month for water heater contracts effective after 4/15/08. This additional charge will be effective on your contract renewal date.
  • Maintain a good credit standing with PSE&G.  Please pay your bill by the due date.  A security deposit equal to two month's of billing may be required if bills are not paid on time.

To find out the closest location for FREE tax preparation, call NJ’s hotline, 2-1-1.
  • Need help paying your winter heating bills? The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Universal Service Fund (USF) can help. To learn more, call 1-800-510-3102, or visit www.pseg.com/liheap. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2008.

  • This bill reflects a change in the supply portion of your electric bill effective February 1, 2008. This supply increase in your bill is the result of a change in transmission related rates. The impact of this supply change for the class average residential electric customer is an increase in the annual bill of $0.12, or approximately 0.01%. The increases in the supply charges vary by rate schedule.

January 2008

  • This bill reflects changes in the delivery and supply portions of your electric bill, effective January 1, 2008. The combined impact of these changes for the class average residential electric customer is a decrease of approximately 0.28%. The change in the delivery portion of your electric bill is an increase of $0.000148 per kilowatthour (including New Jersey Sales and Use Tax) as the result of a periodic adjustment to the Securitization Transition Charges. The change in the supply portion (Basic Generation Service, BGS-FP and BGS-CIEP) of your bill is a decrease as the result of a change in transmission related rates. The decrease in the supply charge varies by rate schedule.
  • This bill reflects an increase of $0.000148 per kilowatthour (including New Jersey Sales and Use Tax) to the delivery portion of your electric bill effective January 1, 2008. The impact of this change for the class average residential electric customer is an increase of approximately 0.10%. This is the result of a required periodic adjustment to the Securitization Transition Charge.

November 2007

  • The Board of Public Utilities has approved a decrease of $0.002166 per therm to the delivery portion of your gas bill effective October 26, 2007. The decrease reflects the change in costs for the Manufactured Gas Plant Remediation component of the Societal Benefits Charge. For a typical residential gas customer using 1,210 therms per year, the annual decrease would be approximately $2.60.
  • The Board of Public Utilities has approved a decrease of $0.000297 per kilowatthour to the delivery portion of a residential customer’s electric bill effective October 26, 2007. Non-residential customers should see a similar unit charge decrease. The decrease reflects the change in costs for the Manufactured Gas Plant Remediation component of the Societal Benefits Charge. For a typical residential electric customer using 6,960 kilowatthours per year, the annual decrease would be approximately $2.08.

  • This bill reflects increases in your supply charges if you receive PSE&G’s Basic Generation Service (BGS) and minor changes to delivery charges for most customers effective June 1, 2007. BGS is provided to customers who do not receive their energy supply from a Third Party Supplier. These BGS changes are the result of a supply auction which was approved by the BPU on February 9, 2007. The annual bill impact for a typical residential customer receiving BGS supply service and using 6,960 kilowatthours per year will be an annual increase of approximately $117, or 11.7%. More information about these changes will be provided in a subsequent bill insert. Tariff information may also be found by visiting our Tariffs & Rates Web site.
