| Avoiding Estimated Bills |
 |
| If the meters in your business are not read, you will receive an estimated bill based on prior usage, weather and other factors. You’ll see the word "estimated" printed next to the meter reading on your bill. While an estimated bill does not measure actual usage, the bill will be adjusted accordingly after the next actual meter reading.

Leave-A-Key
| Leave your house key with a neighbor who will be available to let the meter reader in to read your meters. Or, leave your key with PSE&G. It will remain specially coded for security and will be used only for meter reading purposes. |

Dial Cards
| Sturdy, reusable dial cards are available at no cost from PSE&G. The face of the dial card resembles the dials on your meter. Just set the dials on your dial card exactly as the dials appear on your meter. Place the card in a window where it will be clearly visible to our meter reader on your scheduled meter reading date. Remember, the meter reader may arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. If you use this alternative, your bill will state "dial card" next to the meter reading figure. |

Pre-Addressed Postage Paid Cards
| This alternative allows you to mail your readings to PSE&G. Just draw a line on the card to exactly correspond with the pointer on your meter dial. Then mail the card four days before your scheduled meter reading date. Your bill will state "cust read" next to the meter reading figure. |
