Signature Events Salem County March of Dimes Walk for a Cure PSEG Nuclear employees support the annual March of Dimes WalkAmerica campaign, with as many as 100 walkers participating in the event.
United Way
Throughout the year our involvement with the United Way of Salem County is extensive. PSEG sponsors the United Way of Salem County Golf Tournament, and contributes $40,000 annually to the United Way of Salem County. We also support the Day of Caring, which "loans" employees to the community for a day of service. Individual employees support the United Way during the Power of Giving campaign, and employee groups like Island Charities and the Community Sharing Committee support United Way Agencies such as Meals on Wheels.
Partners of Salem County
PSEG Nuclear partners with a local South Jersey newspaper and other major Salem County businesses to provide local community support. We contribute $30,000 anually to support Partners of Salem County.
Junior Achievement of Delaware
PSEG sponsor the Enterprise Village and Finance Park, which teaches young people about the world of business. Our yearly participation also includes the Junior Achievement Bowlaganza, participation in the Reedy Point Challenge (a 5K and 10K walk/run) and support of the Salem County Schools "Consultant Teaching" Program.
In additon, we support academic excellence by sponsoring the Salem County Math Competition and the Salem County Robotics Competition.
Red Cross
PSEG Nuclear employees donated blood to the Red Cross in our semi-annual blood drives held in June and October.
