Traveling Science Programs

Liberty Science Center brings science directly to teachers and their students, either to large audiences or individual classes, through their Traveling Science Programs. All are designed to engage, excite and educate students while covering a wide range of scientific topics. The staff will travel anywhere within a 125-mile radius of the Center’s home in Jersey City, NJ.  Please note that there is a fee for these programs, with the exception of those provided to Abbott Districts.

PSE&G is a sponsor of Liberty Science Center's Traveling Science Program.  In particular, we have worked with the Center to develop FLASH! BANG!, all about natural gas and electricity, a program for Grades 1-6.  The program provides an interactive look at the two most common forms of energy used in homes. Your students will generate electricity, explore insulators and conductors, and participate in their very own game show, all while learning how to safely use both natural gas and electricity.

Program Type: Traveling Science: Assembly
Grade Level: 1-6
NJCCCS: 3.4 A; 5.1 A, C; 5.4 A; 5.7 B
