PSEG Corporate Funding for Events: Guidelines and Application |
 |
PSEG Corporate Funding for Events: Guidelines and Application The PSEG family of companies provides support for dinners and other events in our service territory. Preference is given to organizations with a focus on our priority areas: Education, the Environment, and Community and Economic Development. Consideration is also given to whether or not a nonprofit organization has received or is expected to receive PSEG Foundation program funding. Organizations must apply online, and may do so at any time. Completed applications will be forwarded internally to the appropriate PSEG representative. Please read our Event Funding criteria (below) carefully. Feel free to print our list of event application questions and shortcut tips before applying.
What are PSEG’s Corporate Event Funding criteria?
- Organizations applying for event support must be nonprofits, but a 501©(3) status is not required.
- Organizations must be located in, or benefit customers in, PSEG’s service area.
- Preferably, the event will support a funding priority area as described in the PSEG Foundation Funding Guidelines.
What additional criteria are considered?
- Consideration is given to the organization’s scope, i.e. geographic area served and number of people that will benefit.
- Effectiveness/results of the organization’s program are also considered, as well as availability of other funding sources.
- Limited funding is available for arts or sports events, community fairs, and other community functions. Within these areas, consideration will be given to how closely the organization or activity aligns with PSEG’s three funding priorities.
What types of events are not eligible for PSEG Corporate Event Funding?
- Events benefiting individuals.
- Events benefiting sectarian purpose organizations that promote religious doctrines or exclude participants based on religion.
- Political causes, candidates, organizations or campaigns.
- Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, sex or religion.
- Organizations with a primary purpose of influencing legislation.
- Athletic, labor or fraternal groups.
- Organizations that address single-health issues.
