Loss Factor (LF) determines the energy losses between generation and the customer meter. These loss factors can be found in the PSE&G Tariff for Electric Service.

Expansion Factor (EF) is equal to 1/(1-LF). The Expansion Factor is used to determine total energy obligation, when the actual customer usage is known.
